Thomas Carroll bookbinders has 45 years of experience in traditional and academic binding with four generations of the family in the craft. Twenty of those years in Waterford, Ireland’s Oldest City.
Tom has worked on many valuable collections for Various libraries and museums, archives our bindery offers a high level of skills .
We can restore your most valuable, loved bindings or documents using traditional methods and materials. Paper conservation treatments in regards paper tears cleaning is another service offered.
His main priority is to produce quality Book Restoration and Conservation. He views the preservation of books as a living history as well as archival material. Tom’s aim is to retain as much of the book’s original character, binding and content as possible
